The basics
What is a prop firm?
A proprietary trading firm gives traders access to capital. At Funded Joe you show your skill on a simulated account first, then trade a funded simulated account and receive a share of the profit you make.
Is this real money?
No. All accounts are simulated. You never deposit money to trade and you can never lose more than the fee you paid. Rewards are paid by Funded Joe based on your simulated results.
Do I need trading experience?
There is no application or interview. Your results on the account are all that counts. If you are new to trading, start with a smaller account size.
Challenges
Which challenge should I pick?
Classic gives you the most room, with two smaller targets and wider limits. Express is one step with a bigger target and the highest split. Instant skips the evaluation, with tighter limits and a consistency rule.
Is there a time limit?
No. There is a minimum number of trading days, but no deadline on any phase.
What if I fail?
The account is closed for trading. You can start the same challenge again at a discount from your dashboard.
Can I have more than one challenge?
Yes, within the per-product limits shown at checkout. Copying or hedging trades between your accounts is not allowed.
Trading
What can I trade?
Major and minor forex pairs, gold and silver, and the main stock indices. The full symbol list and trading hours are in the platform.
Can I use Expert Advisors or trade the news?
Yes, as long as you follow the rules on prohibited practices.
Payouts
How often can I get paid?
Every 14 days once you are funded. See Payouts for details.
Do I get my fee back?
On Classic and Express, yes: the fee is refunded with your first payout.
